Welcome to Riverdale School District, where we provide a rigorous and rich academic experience and actively engage our students in the learning process from their first day in preschool all the way to their senior exhibition. We encourage participation in the arts and athletics, and nurture a passion for personal interests, a habit of critical thinking and a deep understanding of civic virtue. Students learn how to think for themselves, and when they graduate, they go on to a wide variety of selective colleges.

The breadth of our programs and the size of our schools create many ways for students to get involved, and these opportunities lead families to choose Riverdale Grade School and Riverdale High School.

Riverdale School District will not offer transfer spots via Open Enrollment under House Bill 3681 for the school year 2015-2016. Riverdale will accept traditional inter-district transfer students and tuition students on a space available basis per grade level.
The Lake Oswego Review spotlights ways Riverdale High School students are encouraging their peers to speak up for others, to be kind and to take a stand. We are proud of these students and the positive views they share with the community and the world.
Now in his second year at Riverdale, and with four decades of experience in public education under his belt, Superintendent Terry Brandon shares with the Lake Oswego Review some valuable career lessons and discusses what makes the Riverdale education so special.
