May is the busiest time of the school year with celebrations, preparations for next year, special events, and the energy that comes with sunshine. With this busy time, comes so much joy as we create memories that will last a lifetime.
Last week, we watched many of our middle schoolers perform familiar songs on their band instruments, demonstrating how much they’ve learned this year. Second graders ventured to the beach and had fun learning more about tide pools and local creatures. We ended the week with Field Day during the school day for all students. Children got to run, throw pool noodles, play Hungry Hungry Hippos on scooters, and enjoy an afternoon popsicle. Thank you to all the volunteers who made this happen and a special acknowledgement to Nate Anderson, our PE teacher for his hard work and imagination to make the day such a success.
As we approach our last seven days of the 2022-2023 school year (but who's counting), my wish is for us to slow down, appreciate the moments, and cherish the time we have together to celebrate the growth we have made this year.
