Independent Publishing Field Studies (2024)

In the "Independent Publishing Resource Center (IPRC)” Field Study led by Mr. Orton, RHS students learned about the intricate processes of printmaking. The IPRC is a nonprofit dedicated to providing access to tools and resources for creating independently published books, prints, posters, zines, and comics. Students created unique items like screen printed t-shirts, prints, cat posters, and more! Some favorite lunch spots during the field study were the Asylum food carts and Nicholas Restaurant.

Every spring Riverdale high school students participate in a week of field studies. 

These excursions provide the opportunity to use classroom knowledge in real-world, experiential settings.
