Riverdale Grade School and Riverdale High School

Finding the right fit when it comes to school is very important. That’s why we recommend you try us on for size. Here are ways you can visit us:

High School Info Day - Annually in the fall

Each fall during High School Info Day, our high school opens its doors to families from within our district boundaries and across the greater Portland area. Families will hear from the principal, teachers and student speakers, and have the opportunity to tour the school. You'll get acquainted with Riverdale campus life by visiting classrooms; getting to know teachers, students and parents; and learning about specific programs, clubs and sports. This is the perfect chance to experience all that our high school has to offer and get answers to your burning questions. We hope to see you there.

Our 2017 fall Info Day has passed. Look for more information about the 2018 High School Info Day to be posted in September.

Kindergarten Coffee Q&A - Annually in Feburary

Interested in our kindergarten program for next year? Get your questions answered by our principal and enrollment coordinator during our annual Kindergarten Coffee Q&A in February. You'll also tour a kindergarten classroom. This event is open to both resident families planning to start their students in kindergarten, and to non-resident families requesting enrollment through our lottery. It is the last kindergarten tour event offered before the deadline for non-resident enrollment request forms.

Our 2018 Kindergarten Coffee Q&A has passed. Look for more information about the 2019 Kindergarten Coffee Q&A to be posted in the fall.

Grade School Tours - September 2018 through February 2019

Families interested in our grade school can visit during private tours of our campus led by our enrollment coordinator. Tours are available September through February, to align with our non-resident enrollment process (new residents can contact us to arrange tours outside of this timeframe). During the tour, you will have the chance to observe classrooms and our enrollment coordinator will answer your questions.

Note: Tours for non-residents are only available for grades in which we are accepting enrollment requests (for the 2018-19 school year these include preschool, kindergarten, 9th and 10th grades). For new resident families, tours can be scheduled in all grade levels.

High School Shadow Days - September 2018 through February 2019

The best way to discover what it’s like to be a Riverdale High School student is to spend a day visiting the high school and shadowing a current student. While it’s not required, it will provide a taste of what it’s really like here on a daily basis. Shadow Days take place from mid-September through February. High school Shadow Days are available for students who are currently in 8th-9th grade.

High School Shadow days are now closed. We will reopen the process in the fall.
