Riverdale: A Portland, Oregon School District

Resident Students

Families who live in—or are moving into—the Riverdale School District are welcome to enroll at Riverdale Grade School or Riverdale High School at any time during the school year. As your neighborhood public school district, we look forward to partnering with you in your child’s education and welcoming your family into the Riverdale community. View district boundary map.

Non-Resident Students

Families living outside the district who are interested in a Riverdale Education can apply through our annual enrollment lottery. If selected, students have two options for attendance:

1. Request an interdistrict transfer from their home district, or

2. Pay tuition to Riverdale.

Applications are accepted from October through February for the following school year. During this time, families are invited to visit our campuses to experience Riverdale’s close-knit community and strong academic programs firsthand.

Riverdale High School is now accepting applications for the 2026–27 school year.
