Directory information is information contained in the education records of a student that would not generally be considered harmful or an invasion of privacy if disclosed. Riverdale School District, in accordance with the US Department of Education, considers name, address, telephone listing, homeroom teacher, participation in officially recognized activities and sports, and dates of attendance "Directory Information." "Directory information" may be shared without consent during and after enrollment at RSD unless a student or guardian has notified the District in writing that he or she does not want any or all of those types of information designated as "Directory Information."
