Water Testing
Riverdale School District is dedicated to ensuring the safety and well-being of our students and staff by adhering to all state regulations regarding lead in water testing. Below is a brief overview of our process and commitment:
- Regulatory Compliance: We test all required water fixtures for elevated levels of lead at least every six years, as mandated by Oregon law (OAR 581-022-2223).
- Testing Schedule: The testing schedule is set by the Oregon Department of Education (ODE), and we work closely with ODE to determine specific testing times.
- Health and Safety: Elevated lead levels can pose significant health risks, including developmental and cognitive issues. Our testing process aims to reduce or eliminate any potential sources of lead.
