    1. Riverdale Sack Lunch Pickup for Transition Projects- Nathan C.- Hey everyone! On Saturday, May 23, a pickup will be held at Riverdale Grade School from 9:00 to 10:30am for sack lunches to be donated to Transition Projects, a nonprofit that supports the displaced community downtown. A flyer will be sent out shortly detailing what the sack lunches should be made of, and service hours will be given to participating students.

    2. NHS- River S.- It's time to elect new officers! Juniors that are currently in NHS should email River if they are interested in being selected by their peers as one of the four officers next year. If you've already emailed River, you don't have to do it again. He's making the google form this Saturday, so if you've interested in running make sure you've emailed him by midnight on Friday, May 15th. Again, this is open only to current juniors already in NHS.

    3. Model United Nations- Mrs. Hansen- We didn't get to attend the conference, but MUN is still going online! Schools can submit up to 3 resolutions per committee to be read and voted on by Oregon MUN Secretariat and staff. The winners for each committee will earn a 1st round country pick for next year.

There is also a COVID-19 Crisis Simulation. Schools can submit one response. We'll have a Meet on Wednesday, after advisory to discuss country choices for next year and plan our Crisis Sim resolution.

MUN students, check your email for links to the Meet and voting on which of our resolutions to submit. And remember, MUN is FUN!

     4. Seniors' Riverdale Google Accounts- Mr. Bjorn- Seniors - graduation is right around the corner!  Look for my weekly reminder email about the post-graduation fate of your Riverdale Google account. Finish strong and be safe!

    1. Volunteer Opportunity- Vittoria C.-  I have created a non-profit organization named Pencil and Screen to give back to essential workers and parents who are still working during the COVID-19 crisis. As essential workers’ jobs become especially demanding, and other parents continuing to work during this pandemic they are also tasked with supporting their children as they now learn from home. Pencil and Screen matches volunteer high school and college students to students of COVID-19 working parents to help support their children. I am looking for volunteers and for people to spread the word so I can get this service out to any working parents during COVID-19!

    2. Seniors' Riverdale Google Accounts- Mr. Bjorn- Hey seniors -- look for yet another email from me about the future of your Riverdale Google account.  (Spoiler alert:  it's future lasts about eight weeks.)  Be safe!

    3. Site Council- Mrs. Hansen- Students, you will receive an email with a survey link. This is a chance to tell us, anonymously, how things are going with distance learning. We want to hear from you so that we can learn how to continue improving the distance learning experience.
