Coming the Week of Feb. 8: Limited In-Person Instruction at Riverdale High SchoolThis announcement makes me very happy. In a little over a week, I will be able to work in person with students for the first time since joining the Riverdale team at the end of August. I am so excited! Our high school multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS) teams are getting us prepared for in-person student interventions beginning the week of February 8th. RHS will begin limited in-person instruction for a small number of students based on prioritized stages: Acute Mental Health Interventions, Academic Interventions, and grade level interventions (seniors, 9th grade social groups). We will use student data and staff input to inform steady and safe expansion of supports for individuals and small groups every 1-2 weeks per guidance. I will provide more detail to all families next week.Take care,Principal Flannery
Virtual Lunchtime with 9th GradersWe are excited to launch a lunchtime program next week for our 9th grade students. Students will be invited to meet with a high school staff member and several other 9th graders, to “sit together” for a lunchtime conversation. We want to give 9th graders more opportunity to get to know our staff and each other. On Monday, an email will be sent to 9th grade families with more information and a schedule. We will also be having lunchtime meetings in person for small groups of 9th graders as part of our limited in-person time. We hope to begin this in mid-February. We'll keep you updated on this opportunity as well.
June 8th Graduation 2021We wanted to give a brief update to 12th Grade families regarding graduation. Graduation is planned for Tuesday, June 8.
