Spirit Week

Back in the gym for the first time in two years - the Wednesday Pep Assembly was full of fun, spirit and class pride. Thank you to everyone who helped make Spirit Week possible.

Remembering and Honoring Carson Bride

Hello All,
I am Sam Veverka and I’m a member of No Place For Hate, a student leadership group dedicated to improving the culture at Riverdale High School. I would like to inform the community about a couple of events we are coordinating alongside Lines for Life during the week of May 23rd - 27th in honor of Carson Bride, a senior who would be graduating this year who died by suicide. Lines for Life is a non-profit organization created to tackle teen suicide prevention and substance abuse. They have a team full of trained teens ready to help those calling.

Donations Needed!

We are holding an auction and we need items to auction off! All proceeds of the auction will be donated to Lines for Life as this was a final request of Carson Bride. The goal of the auction is to make as much money as possible for Lines for Life. If you have anything you would like to donate personally or know someone who might have something to donate, let us know! Some ideas we have come up with include:
  • Gift Cards
  • Event Tickets (Timbers, concert, shows, movie passes)
  • Apparel (shoes, Nike gift card, employee store pass)
  • Fun experiences (cooking classes, creative classes, top golf, etc.)
  • Food (dinners, gift certificates, etc.)
  • Home Goods (plants, plant pots, nick-nacks, things that you would be willing to give away)
  • Self Care Basket Items (bubble bath, face masks, robes, etc…)
  • Adventure Goods (hydro flasks, backpacks, picnic blankets, etc.)
  • Private Lessons - Are you an expert in something that you would be willing to share?

Latest COVID-19 Info

"On May 2 the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention moved Multnomah County into the medium COVID-19 community risk category, meaning that more COVID-19 is circulating in our community. Locally, we have seen an expected increase in COVID-19 cases and an incremental increase in hospitalizations. We are not at the same level of community transmission or hospitalizations as we were with the last two waves of COVID-19. However, we are seeing an increase in school outbreaks, as school transmission is driven by community transmission. Additionally, in the last several weeks we have seen cases and outbreaks of other illnesses in schools and the community including pertussis and norovirus."

Please return any extra OHSU saliva Covid-19 testing kits. You will need five more after this week if you plan to test every week left of the school year. So anything beyond five tests per child, please return!
Please return any kits for students who have had Covid-19 within the last 90 days.
Contact if you did not receive May tests and/or labels and need them.
