Congratulations to all of our K-4 students for a very successful Jump Rope for Heart program these past few weeks. We’re excited to have raised $16,439.34 for the American Heart Association! Wow! And a portion of this money will come back to our PE program for equipment.

Thanks to the 125 students who participated. The class with the highest student participation was Mrs. Laskowski’s class. And the top student fundraisers, who have earned a special PE Lunch, are: Taylor and Bryce C., Athena W., Kate V., Riya K., Rhiki K., Lilly S., Arya P., Liam M., Matilda J., Dana V., Tate S., Vivian H., Ian K., Kalena G, Lucille S., Trajan M., Ellie A. and Samantha W.

In addition to being a worthwhile fundraiser, our students also learned a lot about keeping fit and healthy. Classes focused on drinking more water, choosing fruits and vegetables as snacks, and getting 60 minutes of exercise per day. PE teacher Heidi Bader encourages you to keep those lessons alive at home.
