We are pleased to announce that Riverdale Grade School’s Acting Principal Jennifer McDonald has been appointed as the RGS Interim Principal for the 2021-22 school year. Mrs. McDonald has served as Riverdale’s Grade School’s Acting Principal since March 2021, leading the school through a return to in-person learning this spring.
Mrs. McDonald taught 1st and 2nd grade at RGS for six years, later transitioning in 2020 to the newly created role of Behavioral Specialist/Restorative Justice Coach. As the Behavioral Specialist/Restorative Coach, Mrs. McDonald worked with students and staff to implement Restorative Justice practices and create effective behavior plans for students.
Mrs. McDonald has lived in West Linn for 19 years after growing up in the Portland area. She has been married for 26 years and has three children ages 17, 21 and 23. Mrs. McDonald loves to camp, boat and spend time with her friends and family. She truly loves this community and is thrilled to continue her career with engaged and supportive parents and outstanding staff.
We are thankful for Mrs. McDonald’s continued exceptional work at Riverdale and are looking forward to benefiting from her leadership this coming school year.
