Hello Everyone,

Just want to share a quick note about next week. Remember that there is no school for students at the High School on Monday, Thursday and Friday. Don’t forget to get signed up for conferences on Thursday and Friday as well.

Also, please remember to turn in the COVID-19 screening test kits on Wednesday mornings. Please send them to school with your students. Our return rates have been slipping, and we would really like to keep the program going successfully. The better return rates we have, the better we are able to manage the impacts COVID has on our school.

REMINDER

Sign up for Conferences

RHS Parent/Caregiver-Teacher Conferences will be held virtually on Thursday, Jan. 20 from 8:30 a.m. - 8 p.m. and Friday, Jan. 21 from 8:30 a.m. - 12 p.m. via Google Meet.

You will have the opportunity to sign up for a roughly 7-minute meeting with each of your student’s teachers. Meetings will take place via Google Meet or via telephone in the event of technical issues.

Please contact Grace Thompson at gthompson@riverdale.k12.or.us with the following info to sign up for meeting times:

A first and second choice for a 1-hour block of time per student
A preferred phone number for the backup meeting

You can sign up with Grace until Wednesday, Jan. 19.

Teachers will be emailing out Meet links to parents on Wednesday, Jan. 19 via Synergy. Please log on to each teacher’s Meet at your scheduled meeting time.

This application is easy to finish and makes hundreds of scholarships available to students. Applications are due on February 15: https://oregonstudentaid.gov/scholarships.aspx

Immunization and Exemption Data

Twice a year, schools must report the immunization and exemption rates for their students. Preliminary rates are on the immunization page on the district website, and these will be updated after Immunization Exclusion Day on February 16. You will receive a letter from MESD if your student is missing any immunization records. Please make sure to send these records to the school office as soon as possible to prevent your student from being excluded from school on Feb. 16.
