April 24 is Armenian Martyrs’ day, which recognizes the genocide of 1.5 million Armenians in Turkey beween 1915 and 1923. 

We hope that our Muslim community has a meaningful Lailat Al-Qadr.

April 28 is Yom Hashoah, which is Holocaust Remembrance Day for the Jewish community.  

It was such a joy and privilege to have Karen Gaffney speak to both our middle schoolers and our high schoolers this past week! She is an incredible speaker and made a big impact on our students. Thank you to the PTC for funding the event at the high school!

The Riverdale School Board will hold a regular board meeting on Monday, April 18 at 7 p.m. via GoToWebinar. Following the last agenda item, the board will go into executive session using a private link and once finished, then return back to the same public meeting link to report out and/or take action on executive session items. 

Community members who would like to speak on agenda topics will be given an opportunity to do so after the board discusses that particular topic. There is also an opportunity to speak to non-agenda topics. In either case, community members have two options for submitting public comment: Use the “raise hand” feature to then be unmuted to speak to the board, or email your comment to Chrisie Patrick before 4 p.m. on Monday, and she will read it on your behalf.
