Riverdale Grade School News

Hello Falcon Families,
State test scores are being sent home in the mail for students in grades 3 through 8. Each individual report has information that should help you determine how your student performed on last year’s assessments. As always, there may be questions that we don’t anticipate or areas that you would like clarified, and we are happy to help. If you have questions, please contact the school office or email any of us individually, so that we can help find answers for you. It’s clear that students worked hard on these tests and we appreciate their efforts.

Oregon Battle of the Books

The Oregon Battle of the Books (OBOB) is a statewide voluntary reading motivation and comprehension program sponsored by the Oregon Association of School Libraries in conjunction with a Library Services and Technology Act Grant.
Students in 3rd-12th grade, regardless of ability, are exposed to quality literature representing a variety of literary styles and viewpoints. Books are selected to fit all reading levels and it is also fine to listen to audio books. Teams must be registered by October 14th at the latest.

Please reach out to Abby Rotwein if you have accessibility needs.

Input Needed

The district is asking for your input through ThoughtExchange surveys and will be sharing out the results of what we’ve learned. There are five separate exchanges that we’re asking our entire community to complete during the month of September. These exchanges will close on Friday, Sept 30.
