Riverdale Grade School News

Published Nov. 18

I don’t want November to pass without expressing my immense gratitude to all of the grade school parents. These are challenging times, and I feel a deep appreciation to each family and how hard everyone is working to make comprehensive distance learning as successful as possible. I am extremely thankful for your support and partnership.
Please have a safe and healthy week off, and I look forward to our return.
We're better together. Stay positive!
Principal Kendall

TAG Tuesday's

If you missed the TAG Tuesday GoToWebinar last week, you can watch it here. The Riverdale Grade School Talented and Gifted (TAG) Committee is hosting these webinar events each month for parents to learn more about Riverdale's TAG program. The first meeting focused on identification, referrals and what the TAG program looks like. The committee will address and answer some of the questions from the November meeting at the next meeting on Dec. 8 from 6-6:30 p.m.

Parents can register and attend the Dec. 8 meeting here

The Riverdale Grade School Gratitude Gallery

We encourage you to drive by the school to see what our students and staff are grateful for. It's not too late to submit a gratitude sign. Please drop it off in front of the school before Nov. 21.

REMINDER

Virtual Read-to-the-Dogs Program

Kathy Loter from Dove Lewis has been partnering with RGS for years, providing volunteers and their dogs to come into our classrooms to allow students a no-pressure environment to practice their reading skills. Students have loved reading aloud to the dogs, and now they can sign-up to do it online with a live dog.
