Riverdale School District News

Dear Riverdale Community,
With only a couple weeks left in the school year, we have a few updates and announcements to share.
Our Budget Committee will meet for a fifth and sixth time on June 7 at 6 p.m. and June 9 at 6 p.m. Thank you to the Riverdale Budget Committee and all staff for the tremendous amount of hard work going into this.
On Monday the Riverdale School Board approved the 2021-22 GS and HS Academic Calendars that display teacher inservice days, conferences and more. You can find both of these calendars on the district website under the Calendar tab as blue and green buttons at the bottom of the page.
Congratulations to 7th grade RGS student Sy. J, recipient of the Grand Prize in the Oregon Jewish Museum and Center for Holocaust Education's Sala Kryszek Art and Writing competition. She read her poem, Blameless Bystander, for our school board on Monday. See Sy recite her writing in the video below. Also, thank you and congratulations to Ms. Light for sharing her gift with all of her students as they find their voices in their writing.
I would also like to thank and acknowledge our staff moving on as shared in the Farewells section below.

You have made a difference and will be missed.
Have a great long weekend!
