The Science Bowl was Feb. 2 and the Riverdale team did well – with a record of 3 wins and 1 loss. This puts the Riverdale club in the top 18 out of 80 teams in the Pacific Northwest. We’re told the participants – who prepare outside of school hours with the help of parent coaches – learned a lot in a short timeframe with just a few training sessions and, more importantly, had a lot of fun competing.
Similarly, a second club has been busy preparing for a series of math competitions – the first of which is this weekend. Nine Riverdale students will be competing and we wish them lots of luck.
